New Medical Entomologist working on WNV at Cornell

<x-flowed>Renee Anderson joined the Department of Entomology at Cornell University in
January 2003 as an Extension Associate Medical Entomologist. Renee will
work closely with Assistant Professor of Medical Entomology, Laura
Harrington, to develop educational programs, fact sheets and related
materials about medically important arthropods and vector borne diseases in
New York State and the Northeast region such as West Nile virus and Lyme
disease. She will provide expertise and information for Cooperative
Extension Associations and will collaborate on vector-borne disease
prevention and control research.

Renee recently completed the requirements for her PhD. degree from Auburn
University. While at Auburn she was a graduate extension assistant and
co-authored several technical reports and extension publications on topics
ranging from the biology and public health importance of mosquitoes and
biting midges to IPM strategies for ticks.
