Hello E-Readers,
I wanted to follow up on the message related to Dr. M. Fradin's publication,
Mosquitoes and Mosquito Repellents: A Clinician's Guide. Annals of Internal
Medicine, 1 June, 128:931-940.
http://www.acponline.org/journals/annals/01jun98/mosquito.htm
An additional 2002 publication by Dr. Fradin might be useful to some of the
readers of this listserv. Visit the National Pesticide Information Center at
npic.orst.edu and select our West Nile Virus Resource Guide link in the center
of the homepage (npic.orst.edu/wnv). Select Pesticides and Toxicology, then
on the right, select Pesticide Active Ingredients. Scroll to see the mosquito
control pesticides categorized as larvicides, adulticides, synergists,or
repellents. The first link under repellents will take you to Dr. Fradin's most
recent publication:
Comparative Efficacy of Insect Repellents against Mosquito Bites. New England
Journal of Medicine, 4 July 2002. 347(1):13-18.
The direct link to the information is located at:

Sharon Collman sent this along, it appears to be a good review article on
mosquitoes and the various repellents.
