Dear All,
... I would like to know if anyone knows where I can find article reprints, peer reviewed articles, about vector competence for WNV. I have done a standard literature search and found oh say 10 or so articles I wondered if I there are more and my search terms were too limited. I am interested in any mosquito vector of WNV. Thanks
Best Regards,
Michael James Foster

Among others, both John D. Edman, Director of the Center for Vector-Borne Disease Research at University of California, Davis, and Michael J. Turell, in the Virology Division of USAMRIID, Institute of Infectious Diseases, Fort Detrick MD, have published on vector competence of mosquito species to transmit WNV.
See, for example, the Dec 2001 Annals of the NY Academy of Sciences volume "West Nile Virus: Detection, Surveillance and Control." Keywords for the article by Turell et al (Potential North American Vectors of West Nile Virus) are "West Nile virus," "North American vectors," and "temperature."
