Glad to see larval control effort are being recommended in Ohio. I am surprised that trypsin modulated oostatic factor is being recommended. Are there products on the market with this active ingredient? This is an exiting new technology, but I don't think the operational experience is there yet to depend on it for a disease prevention program. I'm surprised that the use of the IGR methoprene is not being considered as part of the solution. This is a proven material that is well studied with little, if any, adverse impacts on non-targets. We are having great success with this material as part of an integrated program that includes bacterial larvicides, but bacterials alone are not the complete answer.
