Does anyone have any resources for published articles/studies on the economic impact of any of the WNV outbreaks? I can't even find anything from New York in 1999. The best I could come up with was a time & cost analysis on running a lab testing program. I wrote an email to Lois Levitan & she suggested that I post my request. I am a graduate student of Indiana University's MPH program, just finishing my final project.I coordinate the communicable disease program for a local health department. I did my internship last summer with the mosquito control program and wanted to tie the internship with my project. As a result, I am in the process of trying to do a cost analysis of the outbreak we experienced in Marion County Indiana in 2002. I just read an article posted at http://www.westnilevirusfacts.org/westnile_story.html This was an interesting story that talked about a situation in Cook County(Chicago). It is worth reading. Thanks for any help from anyone. Kris Trotter Coordinator, Communicable Disease Epidemiology Marion County Health Department (317) 221-2112
