2. Third Human Case in Florida
3. State-by-state Update
West Nile Virus has been found in Indiana for the first time. The positive crow was found in southeastern Marion County (central IN). Tests completed on August 21, 2001 by the IN State Dept. of Health (ISDH) Laboratories confirmed the bird as WNV-positive. CDC will conduct testing in the next few days to further confirm the results. A 40-year-old man from Jefferson County has become the third human case of WNV in FL (announced August 20, 2001). The man was hospitalized on August 20.
